Ecological Crises, Climate Change, and Direct Action
Held last 7 March 2013 at the TWSC Conference Room, Palma Hall, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, the public forum “Anarchism: Ecological Crises, Climate Change, and Direct Action” provided a platform for discussion of diverse experiences of local action on climate change issues. The forum featured speakers from grassroots organizations based in different countries–Bas Umali from the Local Autonomous Network (PH), Keith McHenry of Food Not Bombs (US), Bert Peeters of Cabiokid Foundation (PH), and Takuro Higuchi, contributor to the book “Creative Space—Art and Spatial Resistance in Asia.”
