The public forum “The Zamboanga Crisis: Causes and Implications” was held last 27 September 2013 (Friday) from 9 AM to 12 NN at the GT Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, University of the Philippines-Diliman. It featured as speakers Political Affairs Undersecretary Chito Gascon, Dr. Grace Rebollos, Dr. Julkipli Wadi, and Dr. Eduardo C. Tadem. The public forum aimed to engage the public in a discussion to identify the underlying causes and implications of the recent Zamboanga crisis to the ongoing peace process in Mindanao, to Muslim-Christian relationship in the region, and Zamboanga’s political economy after the crisis. In providing a space for dialogue and exchange, policy actions were proposed to the key players of the crisis and to the stakeholders in Mindanao peace process in general.
