This forum aimed at (1) sharing research outputs, views and ideas by researchers from the Philippines and Japan on the said topic, with special focus on Japan and the Philippines, and (2) exploring some possible research agendas in which the two research institutes can collaborate in the near future. Featured speakers were Dr. Jorge Tigno of the UP Diliman Department of Political Science and Dr. Habibul Khondker of Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Jean Encinas-Franco and Dr. Chizuko Sato of the Institute of Developing Economies-Japan External Trade Organization provided reactions to the speakers’ presentations.
